Reflect is now part of SmartBear: the old reflect.run address redirects to smartbear.com/product/reflect. It is a test automation product in which you write steps in plain English, or create tests from an AI coding tool, and Reflect runs them against web, mobile, API and visual checks. Sybqa does not ask you to author tests. You paste a link, review a plan and read an evidence report. We make Sybqa. If you want maintained tests across web, mobile and API, Reflect is built for that; if you want to know what is broken on a site today, Sybqa is the simpler start.

Point
Sybqa
SmartBear Reflect
Core job
Checks a site you point it at and reports evidence of what broke
AI-powered test automation for web and mobile apps: tests you write as steps and keep
Where you start
A link and an optional goal. You review the plan before anything runs
Plain-English steps that its AI turns into automated actions, or tests created from AI coding environments such as Claude Code or Cursor
Kinds of test
Browser journeys, responsive layout, accessibility rules and page errors. No native mobile app testing
Web end-to-end, mobile on native real devices rather than emulators, API requests and responses, and visual testing
Keeping tests working
A saved plan re-runs as reviewed; there is no test suite to maintain
Says it adapts to changes in the app instead of relying on selectors; this is a vendor claim we have not tested
Pipelines
The GitHub Action and API tokens start a saved plan from a pipeline (guide)
Lists Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins and Travis CI among its integrations
Browsers
A real browser at desktop (1440 px), phone (390 px) and narrow (320 px) widths, with axe-core accessibility checks
Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari are listed on its pricing page
How usage is counted
Deterministic checks use no AI credits; AI checks draw down the plan’s credits
Credits per month: a web test uses 1 credit, a mobile test 5 and an API test 0.1
Public pricing
A free plan after sign-up (10 runs a month, no AI review) and a paid plan with AI credits
Premium (5,000 credits a month), Advanced (20,000) and Enterprise (40,000), each with unlimited users and a 14-day free trial. The page lists no dollar prices; mobile parallel testing is an add-on
What Reflect does better
It is a test suite you keep: tests live in the product and re-run on demand and in CI. Sybqa returns reports, not a suite.
It tests mobile apps on native real devices and API behaviour alongside the UI. Sybqa tests in phone-sized browser viewports only.
It runs on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari and lists a broad set of CI and issue-tracker integrations.
It sits inside SmartBear’s wider testing portfolio, which matters if your team already buys from them.
Which one to choose
Choose Reflect if
You want maintained end-to-end tests that cover web, mobile on real devices and APIs.
Your team will write test steps in plain English or generate them from an AI coding tool.
You already use SmartBear tools or need their integrations.
Choose Sybqa if
You have no suite and want an independent first check of a site before you share it.
You want a report with screenshots and steps to reproduce rather than tests to maintain.
You want a free start with prices you can read without a sales conversation.
What this comparison does not claim
Common questions
Is Reflect part of SmartBear?
Its product page is hosted on SmartBear’s site and calls it SmartBear Reflect, and the old reflect.run address redirects there. We did not read a statement about how that came about, so this page does not describe its history.
Does Reflect publish its prices?
The pricing page we read lists three plans by monthly credit allowance and a 14-day free trial, with contact-sales and demo buttons, but no dollar amounts. Sybqa’s free plan gives 10 runs a month without AI review after sign-up.
